Where we build decks

Every city here has its own building department, permit threshold and HOA landscape. Each page covers what's different about building a deck there.

Building a deck in the Treasure Valley means answering to different rulebooks a few miles apart. Boise and Nampa require a permit once a deck is more than 12 inches above grade; Meridian looks at size, attachment and exit doors; Star and Kuna use 30 inches. Foothills lots add slope and wildfire rules, and most newer subdivisions add HOA review. We serve the cities below and cover what changes in each one, from footings and wind exposure to who signs off on the plans.

Cities marked as the edge of our service area, such as Emmett and Mountain Home, sit roughly 30 to 45 minutes from Boise. Projects there are welcome; mention your town in the estimate request so we can confirm scheduling before the site visit.
